This hollow tile bungalow was built in 1924 for $8,000 by Galen O. Elson a realtor and land speculator who came to St. Pete from West Virginia. The house had 7 rooms and garage, and has been expanded over the years.
This house has had 13 owners since it was built 99 years ago. I will list the owners sequentially:

1928-29: Benjamin F. McKeage, Insurance and Real Estate Sales
1929-33: C. Franklin Packard, Retired Textile Manufacturer from Maine
1933-37: John C. Winthrop
1937-45: Emma Chapman, widow of a famed church musician (William Chapman) from Maine
1945-49: Charles S. Jones, President of Coca Cola Bottling Co. in Battle Creek MI
1949-58: Benjamin F. Jacobs, President of St. Pete Mattress Co
1959: Address changes from 2100 1st St No to 101 21st Ave No.
1960 -72: Ervin R. Whitman, Ret Lt. Col. USMC
1972-89: Pete Buntyn, Circulation Dept. Tampa Tribune

The house was sold in 2001 and foreclosed on in 2011. It was then sold by the bank to Mi Casa Properties LLC, who are the current owners.
